In 2008/11 the Glacsweb team worked at Skalafellsjokull in Iceland. This is a large outlet of the Vatnajokull icecap. We measured ice depths of 100m in the area we worked in by using ground penetrating radar. A new set of hardware/software was made emphasising geophones, more power to the base station and a met station. WiFi is now used as a direct route for data back to the UK (with GPRS backup).
