The Glacsweb team are helping to investigate the use of sensor networks to monitor rapidly changing areas in the Tijuana Esturary, Mexico. The research is funded by NOAA. The main aim was to test the effectiveness of probes to monitor slope failure. As they sense their tilt/rotation and soil moisture we are testing their ability to detect changes in sediment which leads to failures/landslides.
