Snapshots from the first Glacsweb deployment in Tijuana in 2010
The main aim was to test the effectiveness of probes to monitor slope failure. A revision of the probe case was made to investigate non-permanent closure:


These probes were deployed in the sediment in a test slope in Tijuana in Jan 2010.

The base station is let running to make tests easier. It is based on a Gumstix Overo - with Jeff's level converter for the RS232 interface to the wired probe.

The local area becomes a muddy river when it rains heavily. (see video of flooded street -quicktime)
